Art Class

Teaching skills through art is a great way to review.  This week we were studying living things with a focus on plants.  They needed to know what plants need: air, water, soil, and sunshine.  They also needed to know the parts of a plant and what they do: roots, stem, leaves, flower and seeds. Today the kindergartners made a diagram of the plant and on Monday, they will add the labels.  I showed them how to do the whole project step by step.  Then I let them go and they did a fantastic job!  It was interesting to see how well they did!  Wow!  I was impressed!
